GTA organizes the International Conference on Global & Emerging Trends (ICGET) series. The ICGET series began in 2018 with 3 main objectives:

- to connect experienced and budding researchers for mentoring

- to foster opportunities for international research cooperation and dissemination, and

- to promote industry-academia collaboration.

The first ICGET sessions were held simultaneously in Johor, Malaysia and Abuja, Nigeria in May 2018. Disrupted by the pandemic, the sessions resumed in 2023 at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, and hosted over 70 participants from 15 countries in a hybrid session.
