On behalf of the local and international organizing committees and all committee chairs, we feel honored and delighted to welcome you to the International Conference on Global & Emerging Trends (ICGET) holding 2-4 May, 2018 at Baze University, Abuja, Nigeria. We also seize the opportunity to welcome you to Nigeria, the largest country in West Africa. It is an opportunity for you to experience first-hand, the Nigerian exceptional hospitality and to savour the breath-taking scenery of Abuja, the nation’s Federal Capital Territory and the seat of the Nigerian federal government, at Aso Rock. The venue had been carefully chosen so you can have an unforgettable experience. The keynote speeches, invited talks, tutorials and workshop sessions are designed to inspire and enrich participants, and foster lasting national and international collaborations. We look forward to new ideas and qualitative inputs that will result from the technical paper presentations in the parallel oral and poster sessions. We hope that participants will take advantage of all formal and informal sessions to build memorable connections that can contribute to global trends across various fields. Participants will be privileged to have a taste of the rich Nigerian culture, music, and dance, during the cocktail session. We look forward to welcoming you to Nigeria, the Giant of Africa.

Call for Papers

Twenty-first century technological developments has transformed the way many things are done. The effect on industry, labour, agriculture, medicine, education and almost every other thing has been tremendous. It appears this is just the beginning of greater changes to come.

Breakthrough discoveries, and extensive natural disasters; global warming, hurricanes and tornadoes, non-human employees and self-driving trucks, gene-editing technology and gene therapy, genomic clones and robots surgeons...current global trends assure us of more drastic changes in human life and society in the future. A forward-looking and visionary approach to the inevitable future changes is the least academics can do in times like this.

The International Conference on Global & Emerging Trends series is a forum for showcasing leading visionary, multidisciplinary research, developments, and technologies, and for presenting the latest work, including products/systems related to the conference theme and sub-themes. We welcome seasoned academicians, experienced and budding researchers, and research students to share their work/projects with colleagues. Works that involve interdisciplinary collaborations between various academic fields are highly welcomed. Submissions should address the conference theme in relation to any academic discipline in line with the conference tracks including, but not limited to, the following (click on each track to view sub-themes).
